About Space has many years of experience in the custom manufacturing of lighting. Our in-house design team and factory partners produce lights to the highest quality finish, performance, and aesthetics. We use the latest technology and materials to create unique lighting solutions that are tailored to your specific needs and requirements.

We're passionate about crafting bespoke lighting catered to your purpose, budget, timeframe and design aesthetic. We work with homeowners, architects, interior designers and property developers to design, source and create the perfect custom lighting for homes, hotels, restaurants, shops and other commercial spaces.

How it works

1. Book an appointment

We take a collaborative approach to all custom lighting projects. Depending on your location, we offer in-store or on-site consults. Otherwise, we work via phone, email, or video call.

2. Brief the team

We’ll start by discussing the purpose of your lighting and the story behind your vision. We’ll extract as much information about the project as possible, including project timelines and key dates.

3. Sign off on the concept

We’ll take your drawing or idea, review the concept to make sure it’s possible and re-draw the design to industry standards. If you’re placing a large order, we’ll manufacture a sample for your approval. For smaller orders, you’ll simply need to sign off on the drawing before we start production.

4. Production

Once approved, your custom light moves into production. Many of our pieces are assembled at our head office in Fitzroy. We also work with manufacturers in other parts of Australia, China and Europe. Depending on the materials and production process, manufacturing can take anywhere between 3 to 13 week.
