Refunds & Returns – Goods:
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
However you can exchange, receive a credit or refund if the item:
- Is unsafe.
- Is significantly different from the sample or description.
- Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.
Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.
Please keep your proof of purchase – e.g. your receipt/invoice.
We do not accept change of mind returns on custom-made items. Non-standard or custom-made items, and special orders cannot be cancelled after production has been scheduled for manufacture or after materials for production have been purchased.
There are no refunds or returns on Sale items if you change your mind.
Aboutspace.net.au dispatches goods Australia-wide and to international destinations.
Normally orders are dispatched within 10 business days of the purchase order being received. However 14 business days or more may be required for some special circumstances. Within Australia, delivery times are estimated at between 10-14 business days depending on your location.
For international orders, please contact us first with your enquiries and we will provide a quote based on quantity, destination and weight. It may also be possible to make your own freight arrangements if preferred.
Generally, courier delivers during business hours. Drivers will require a signature upon delivery. If you will not be at the ship-to address at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a card in your mail box with instructions for collection at your nearest pickup location.
If the courier is unable to deliver the parcel to you after 2 weeks, they will return the parcel to us at our expense. If the error was as a result of Aboutspace.net.au.au sending the parcel to the incorrect address or we have nominated an incorrect service and the parcel has been returned to us, we will immediately reship the parcel to your correct address free of charge.
If the parcel has been returned to us as a result of error or inaction on your part, then as a condition of us resending the parcel back to you, we reserve the right to pass on any additional charges that we incur for the return of the parcel to us as a result of your error or inaction and further, the additional delivery costs to have the parcel reshipped to you at your nominated address.
All freight and insurance costs are to be borne by the buyer and the buyer assumes any risk of loss, theft, damage or delay of goods during transit. About Space will not be held responsible for parcels lost, damaged or delayed in transit.
Error or inaction on your part may be, but is not limited to the following and is determined at the discretion of Aboutspace.net.au:
- You entering an incorrect or incomplete address (including omitting a company name where delivery is to a business address).
- You failing to claim the parcel for more than 2 weeks from date of the card notification in your mailbox advising you of attempted delivery.
- If you opt to cancel the order as a result of the item being returned to us, we will provide you with a refund, less all shipping costs incurred and our restocking fee of 20% to 30% of the total order value.
- All transactions processed through the Aboutspace.net.au online store are processed in AUD (Australian Dollars) and include GST.
LED bulbs carry a 2-year warranty, unless otherwise specified with back to base replacement cover. Regarding all other bulbs, while in some instances we may display information sourced from the manufacturer regarding their projected life expectancy, About Space provides no warranty or guarantee with respect to the actual working lifetime of the bulb.
