The Glass Edit: Light, Form, Atmosphere

At About Space, glass is more than a material — it’s a medium through which light is shaped, softened, and elevated. Across wall lights, pendants, and lamps, the glass collection brings together modular design, handcrafted artistry, and timeless silhouettes to create lighting that feels both architectural and atmospheric.

From interchangeable systems to hand-blown statement pieces, each collection explores how glass can transform not just a fixture, but the entire mood of a space.

A Modular Language: Yosh & Missi Glass

At the core of About Space’s glass offering is flexibility — led by systems like Yosh Glass and Missi Glass.

The Missi Glass range introduces a refined bevelled edge, designed to layer texture and ambient diffusion across a variety of fittings. Available in champagne, clear, green, pink, and smoke, it’s a simple way to bring colour and softness into a space while remaining highly adaptable.

Similarly, Yosh Glass has become a signature within the About Space ecosystem — a modular solution compatible across multiple fixtures, from pendants to wall lights and lamps. This interoperability allows for cohesive design language across an entire project, whether residential or commercial.

The result is lighting that evolves with the space — interchangeable, considered, and deeply customisable.

Sculptural Simplicity: Signature Pendants

Few pieces define the About Space glass collection like the Toledo Pendant — a design that has become a hallmark of minimalist lighting. Originally introduced in 2012, Toledo is celebrated for its clean form and refined light output, evolving into a core product with multiple glass sizes and finishes.

Its strength lies in versatility. Whether installed as a single statement or clustered for impact, Toledo adapts seamlessly across interiors — from period homes to contemporary spaces — delivering a soft, considered glow through opal or clear glass.

Alongside it, the Hudson Pendant introduces subtle texture through ribbed glass, bringing depth and visual interest while maintaining a restrained, architectural silhouette. Designed with clean lines and minimalist form, it elevates both residential and commercial settings with quiet sophistication.

Together, these pendants reflect a consistent philosophy: simplicity, executed with precision.

Custom & Handcrafted: Glass as Art

Beyond modular systems and core ranges, the glass collection extends into bespoke and handcrafted territory.

Custom Yosh Opal cascades transform lighting into architectural features — layered compositions that respond to scale, voids, and verticality. These installations are less about individual fittings and more about creating immersive light experiences.

Complementing this is the collaboration with Yeend Studio, where each piece is hand-blown in Melbourne. Their work is defined by soft, weightless forms and subtle variations inherent to the artisanal process, ensuring no two pieces are identical.

This intersection of design and craft introduces a tactile, human quality — elevating lighting from functional to collectible.

Lighting for Atmosphere, Not Just Function

Across wall lights, pendants, and lamps, the About Space glass collection is unified by a single idea: light should be felt as much as it is seen.

Glass softens edges. It diffuses intensity. It creates warmth, glow, and depth — turning functional lighting into atmosphere. Whether through the modularity of Yosh and Missi, the clarity of Toledo, the texture of Hudson, or the artistry of hand-blown forms, each piece contributes to a layered, considered environment.

This is lighting designed not just to illuminate a space — but to define how it feels.
