A Vision Rooted in Personality

From the outset, Park Street was imagined as a playful and colourful home. The design team worked closely with Henry to bring a personal and adventurous vision to life—one that championed uniqueness without losing touch with its heritage. The result is a striking fusion of old and new: custom joinery by Cabtech Interiors, confident textures, and unexpected moments of joy throughout the interiors. This spirit of bold expression is balanced with a grounded respect for the architectural past, creating a home that feels both fresh and timeless.

Lighting as the Defining Layer

Lighting played a pivotal role in shaping the tone and mood of Park Street. Far from being an afterthought, it was an intentional design layer used to elevate each space. Ornate wall lighting was chosen to highlight heritage elements, while more subtle selections brought softness and warmth to private rooms. In the living areas, Lunar Ceiling Lights embedded in the concrete ceiling have become an unintentional feature—modern yet understated, and perfectly at home in Park Street’s character-rich palette. The lighting was curated to be more than functional; it was emotional. Whether in a multi-residential build or a bespoke family home, SGKS Architects approach lighting with a clear vision: every space should feel calm, warm, and welcoming—at any time of day.

The lighting throughout Park Street was carefully selected from About Space, chosen for their ability to deliver sculptural, refined, and high-quality pieces that suit both statement-making and subtle applications. The brand’s versatile collection allowed the team to balance hero moments with thoughtful restraint.

• The Striking Camilla Ceiling Light in the formal living room, enhancing the Art Deco concrete ceiling with elegance and flair.
• The Missi Wall Light in the kitchen, a minimal yet impactful addition that plays beautifully off the bold Glux stone.
• Bathroom and exterior Forte & Skyball Wall Lights, adding cohesion and sophistication throughout.
• Refined variety of downlights and ceiling-mounted pieces used to seamlessly blend functionality with mood-setting atmosphere.
