Featured in Vogue Living, the Sammi Floor Lamp takes its place within a thoughtfully restored Federation home in Malvern Hill, designed by Caitlin Parker-Brown, founder of Parker Studio.

Positioned in the front sitting room, Sammi becomes part of a space defined by mood and memory. Here, Parker-Brown employed a ‘colour drenched’ approach—soft lavender tones wrapping walls and ceilings—to exaggerate atmosphere and invite a sense of calm. Against this backdrop, Sammi’s refined silhouette and warm metallic finish feel both grounding and quietly expressive.

Throughout the home, Parker-Brown was intentional about creating interiors that feel lived-in rather than overly polished. “We prioritised the use of ‘living’ finishes, such as raw brass, marble, tumbled limestone and natural limewash paint,” she explains. “These add warmth and character, particularly to the new extension of the home.” Sammi’s materiality sits comfortably within this philosophy, complementing the home’s tactile palette without competing for attention. 

Each room has its own identity, unified by a cohesive design language that honours the home’s past while embracing contemporary living. “We decided to lean into the use of rich paint colours and each room has its own colour, character and style,” Parker-Brown notes. The front sitting room—where Sammi resides—embodies this balance, pairing heritage details with modern layers of light and texture.

Beyond its aesthetic presence, the Sammi Floor Lamp is designed for versatility. Adjustable lamp shades allow light levels to shift throughout the day, making it equally suited to quiet mornings, relaxed afternoons or intimate evenings.
